Introduction to
Plans
Interaction with the system is implemented by the means of
accounts set up under plans. Plan is a predefined
arrangement of resources, services and permissions available
for a user that has registered account under it. There are
three main types of plans:
| Plan(s) |
Used |
With |
Customizable |
| Administrative |
to manage your hosting system |
administrative account |
|
| System |
to manage your corporate promotion site
and provide third level hosting |

All plans along with their controls are listed at the Plans
page (Administrative account -> INFO ->
Plans):

Initially there is only one Administrative account plan
with administrative account that you manage your system
with:

* The administrative account is not intended to maintain
your corporate site. This is only for managing your system.
The Signup Links table lists the links to signup wizards
for all the available plans.
Maintaining Corporate
Promotional Site with the System
You may want to host your corporate promotion site with the
same hosting system that you are going to host your customers
with. And you are likely to offer third level hosing at your
main domain, i. e., offer third level domains at your_domain.com,
such as thirdlevel.your_domain.com or userdomain.your_domain.com.
Here is how you do it:
1. Create System plan
1.1 Go to INFO -> Plan Creation Wizards:

1.2 Choose the Select icon next to Unix/Windows plan
on the right of the menu:

1.3 That will launch Unix/Windows Plan Creation Wizard.
1.4 Name this plan "System plan". Check the
Include boxes next to the resources you would like
to use for your site. Make sure your System plan includes
Service domain. Other resources are treated as optional
and are included in accordance with your needs.
* Read more about plan resources in Creating
New Plans (Plan Creation Wizards).
1.5 At the next step all the price fields should be left blank
where possible.
1.6 When you are through with Plan Creation Wizard, go to
INFO -> Plans and set the OFF button
next to the System plan which will show up in the list
to ON, so it becomes available for signup.
2. Create System account
2.1 Go to Signup.
2.2 Click the Select icon next to the System plan.
This will launch the System Plan Signup Wizard. Enter
the data. When prompted the kind of payment, select checks;
when prompted the type of the domain, select Service domain
and enter the domain name you intend to use for corporate
promotion site and third level hosting.
2.3 Go to INFO -> Plans and disable System
plan for signup (set the ON button back to OFF),
so nobody else can create account under this plan.
NOTE: Your system account from your parent host
side is treated as your ordinary end customer account and
you'll be charged for the resources used under it as well
as for the resources used by your customers.

Reselling Your Customers
Resources and Services with Hosting Plans
Reselling your customers resources and services is carried
out through end customer accounts registered under
custom hosting plans.
A customer registering with the system gets an account under
a certain custom hosting plan. Each custom hosting plan usually
would have a different set of included resources and a different
price layout. Initially there are no custom hosting plans;
you should create and configure them to conform your reselling
policy:
1. Go to INFO -> Plan Creation Wizards.
2. Click the Select icon next to the kind of the plan
you want to create. This will launch corresponding Plan Creation
Wizard.
3. Check the Include boxes next to the resources you
want to make available for this plan. Check the Activated
boxes next to the resources you have included to make
them active on the signup by default.
4. Set the resource prices for the default payment interval.
Make sure the prices that you set pay off the your wholesale
expenditures.
* Read more about reseller billing principles in Billing
Principles.
5. Go to INFO -> Plans. Set the OFF button
to ON to allow the signup for this plan.
6. Click the Access link next to the configured plan
to set which users will have permissions to create additional
accounts under this plan.
* You can reconfigure both your custom hosting plans
and System plan anytime you wish. For this go to INFO
-> Plans, select the plan you would like to reconfigure
and click its hyper text name. This will launch Plan Edit
Wizard.
