Signup: create accounts from the admin
control panel.
Signup
To use the services you provide, user should get registered
in the system and obtain an account which represents him in
the system. To get account, user should sign up for certain
plan which defines which resources he may run within his account.
The signup procedure is wizard-guided.
User can sign up independently "from the street". Alternatively,
you can sing up users by yourself from the admin control panel.
This is the one and only way to create accounts that are not
available "from the street", regardless of whether they are
'tagged' available or unavailable for signup, for instance
admin and technical support accounts.
To sign up a new user from the admin control panel, select
Signup from the Signup menu:
Here you choose which plan you want to create an account
under:
Signup Wizard will guide you through several steps and ask
you to fill in the forms contact info (name, e-mail, address,
etc.), payment info (either parameters of your credit card
or the address where the bills will be mailed to - for checks),
etc. When you are through with Signup Wizard, account will
be either created or assigned for activation. Read below on
account activation. If you want to
replace signup forms with those of your own, click
here.
Moderation
Moderation of Check Paid Accounts
This feature allows you to launch newly created accounts.
By default signed up credit card paid accounts are activated
immediately, while check paid accounts are assigned for activation
and need to be enabled, i.e. moderated. Choose Moderate
in the Signup menu to view all accounts awaiting
for the activation:
- To reject account activation request, click the Delete
link on the right to the account name.
- Click the user login link to view the account's registration
data and access the activation option. Under the user data
table that comes next you will find the Create link
to activate the account and the Deletelink to reject
the request.
Moderation of Credit Card
Paid Accounts(version 2.08 and higher)
When the attempts to use stolen credit cards become frequent,
the online processing center may close or suspend your account.
To prevent this, you can switch to moderated credit card signup
mode and manually check credit card authenticity,
address info or any other account information before allowing
to create the account.
To enable this feature go to Settings -> Merchant Gateway:
- To allow immediate creation of credit card accounts,
switch Moderated CC signup OFF.
- To enable moderation of credit card paid accounts, switch
Moderated CC signup ON.
Statistics
Signup statistics allows you to track:
- how many accounts have been created and deleted by each
admin,
- each admin account's system Id number
- the account's descriptions.
All users that sign up "from the street" are ignored by
this statistics.
To view the Signup statistics, choose Stats from the
Signup menu. Clicking on the underlined number in the
Live accounts column will display the following information
on these accounts: time and the date when they were created,
their users' logins and system Id numbers, plans that they
were created under, their billing periods, contact e-mails,
payment types, their balances and credit enlargements. Clicking
on the underlined columns' captions you can sort the entries.
The Export link under the chart enables you to save
the chart data in *.cvs format that is supported by numerous
spreadsheet and database programs. Commas are used as delimiter
separators.
Transition of Users
from Trial to Paid
On expiration of the Trial period the user's account is suspended
and the user receives the suspention notification. Next, the
user should log into the billing profile menu (it is available
while suspention) and creates the billing profile. After you
have received the user's check and credited that amount of
money to the user's account, you resume his/her account. Alternatively,
if the CC that the user provided in the billing profile is
valid and is charged the required amount, New Vision resumes
the account automatically.
