Configuring Control Panel Interface
(version 2.05 and higer)

New Vision has been created to require minimum adjustments after the installation to provide required services. The Look and Feel set of features of the admin panel provides an easy and simple way to customize control panel colors, images, and texts.

Select Look and Feel in the navigation menu:

The menu items that appear allow you to customize the following parameters:

Let's take a closer look at particular set of facilities each menu item provides.

Colors And Images

Image Settings

  • Banner HTML Code: enter the HTML code for the banner you want to show up both in admin and your users control panels.

    E.g.:<a href="http://www.destination_company.com/cgi-bin/blah-blah.cgi" target="blah-bhlah"> <img src="http://www.domain.com/images//banner.gif" width=468 height=60></a>
Tip: it might be just an image, for example, your logo.
  • Show Copyright: toggle the button to show / hide the copyright notice in the top left corner of the window above the logo both in admin and user control panels.
  • Logo Image URL: enter the URL address of the image to show up in the top left corner of the window.
    E.g.: http://www.domain.com/images/logo.gif
  • Signup Image URL: enter the URL address of the image to show up in the left top corner of the windows for plan signup forms.
    E.g.: http://www.domain.com/images/signup.gif
  • Login Image URL: enter the URL address of the image to show up on the logging page on the right.
    E.g.: http://www.domain.com/images/login.gif

Color Scheme Settings

New Vision provides four standard color schemes and independent set of four image schemes. You can use schemes to create your own custom ones (Custom Color Settings section), however if you decide to return to one of the four standard all your custom configuration will be lost.
*Image Set standards can't be customized.

Important: your own custom images added to the New Vision interface can be lost with the new release update unless you put them into /home/cpanel/shiva/shiva-templates/common/IMAGES/

Company Info

The system holds your company's name, mailing address and other details. This information is actively used across the control panel, including the letters that are e-mailed to the user, in the contact info page, etc.:

Interface Language (version 2.07 and higher)

This feature allows you to change the Default Language of your system's interface both for you and your users' control panels (menu, context online help, New Vision system messages, labels on html pages etc.) However, your users will always be able to override these settings with another available language to adjust their CP interface according to their liking.

Currently New Vision comes with the following languages: English, Russian, Italian, French, Spanish and Dutch (the 4 latter languages in 2.09.5 and higher).

Changing Interface Data Representation (version 2.09 and higher)

Starting from version 2.09 you can change the way data is represented in your system interface. This feature was first written to support customizing interface language because in different languages the same data can be represented in different ways. To get at the form below, go to Look and Feel -> Regional Options:

  • Currency symbol: insert the currency symbol you want your reports to show up, e.g.: £ or or USD, etc.
  • Currency pattern: edit the way figures show up in your reports; where "¤# " stands for currency symbol and ";" separates the way negative figure pattern.
    For example:

    ,##0.00¤#;-,##0.00 ¤# 123,456.78$ -123,456.78$
    ¤#,##0.00; (¤#,##0.00) $123,456.78 ($123,456.78)

NOTE: Currently only the above fields can be edited. The rest are reserved for future implementation and are at a development stage. Changes in these fields don't take effect!
